Save Money - Save Time

Competitive Pricing
If you have ever received a quote from more than one transcription service, then you know that the results can send your head spinning as you try to compare the numerous variables to accurately calculate your bottom line cost. You have no doubt discovered that there are myriad methods for computing transcription charges -- gross line, bytes, page, report, minutes of dictation, 65-character line, etc. This can result in a price difference of 50% or more for identical documents from one vendor to the next. It is extremely important to be educated on exactly which method a particular vendor uses for their billing so you can take control of your practice's true line count since this can have a serious impact on your transcription budget.

Cobb Medical Transcription's line rate is based on the industry-standard 65-character line, not a visible or gross line. This saves you the cost of partial lines or pages, wide margins, large typefaces, or extra minutes if you are a slow dictator. If you are currently paying for transcription by the gross line, please be aware of how much extra this may be costing you. For example, an average one-page SOAP report is approximately 1,500 characters, or 50 gross lines of text. Using our 65-character line formula, our total lines billed would be 23 (1,500 divided by 65) -- a difference of over 50%. That is just one report. Just think how that savings would impact your transcription expense over a period of months and even years!

We will work with you to customize your reports to a format and style you prefer. By working with us to create a normal physical examination, for example, you can save the time you normally spend dictating for more important things. We will customize as much or as little as you prefer.
